Banning Help

Hi gang, I have a member whom we removed from our forum. He has a ban on his username for a year. We have his IP address added as well. While this person cannot post he is still able to log onto the forum. He has made many good posts and I would prefer I not have to delete his username and lose the posts. I have the option set that he should not be able to view the forum. How can I ensure that he cannot even log on to our forum. I am using version 3.7.1. Thanks for any tips folks.

I agree, he shouldn't be able to login but I see his name at the bottom of the forum.

I have since gone in changed that users password. I guess what I was wondering is, regardless of how you lock things down...unless I change their password there is no way to stop them from logging in? Is there?

When he logs in all he can see is the banned message, everything else disapears.
If he wants to look at the message, let him.

You as admin or user can see the person "logged in" but he can't get anywhere. When you see "who's online" page, it should show what he's seeing.
