This means the web server / php / mysql limits are too low and the database too big for it. Your forum has grown, it's time to use phpmyadmin or even better, SSH shell.

      I see.

I have a few questions to ask:
      1. Doesn't backing up with phpMyAdmin cause timeouts?
      2. What's the some more backup options?

1 - depends on the size and the phpmyadmin config and server settings.
        2 - ssh (shell).

I also wanted to ask, is MySQL Dumper also good for backing up the database?

I never use it, I have SSH2 to my dedicated box.
But I hear people recommend it if phpmyadmin fails.
