    Finding a members email

I receive an email notification from time to time, notifying me that a member of my board has a new email address.

The sender of this email is XXX<somenumbers>@bluetie.com.

I would like to change this members email address to the new address.
The problem is that I cannot find any member in my forum's database with an email address on bluetie.com.

How do I find this member?
I've tried searching for everything (the XXX, the numbers, and bluetie.com) with no luck.

You can't search for an e-mail address, but, you must know the member's username, so, simply go to the username and change it manually.
Assuming of course that this is not the e-mail that is sent via the forum to tell you that the e-mail address has been changed??

Yes, you can search for e-mail addresses.

AdminCP -> Users -> Search for Users
Enter that e-mail address in the "Email" field.

If the search returns no results, then there is no such user on the forum.

      Nick

But the fact that I receive those emails from time to time tells me that a user is subscribed to threads in my forum.

I think this is because the bluetie email provider using a different email than the one with which the user registered.

          I'm not understanding...

Why are you receiving an e-mail stating that another user is subscribed to a thread?

I never get e-mails when my users subscribe to threads...???

It's an email notification that the user does not use the email anymore.

Besides, I get loads of emails of bouncing back notifications. That's just normal.

              Ohh it's a bounced-back e-mail. I guess I didn't understand that part.

Something in your forum is causing the email to be sent to that address. And if there is no user with that e-mail address, then the only cause of this could be a modification you have installed.

              Nick

No, it's not a bounce-back. At least not a standard one.

And I am sure it is not caused by a plugin.
As I said, I think it's bluetie.com using a different email address to send bouncing emails than to receive messages.
