    Error Uploading Pictures

    I get this error when trying to upload a picture.

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: imagecreatefromfile() in /var/www/vhosts/usacarry.com/httpdocs/forums/album.php(811) : eval()'d code on line 6

    Please help!

    This error is from a plugin you've installed. You need to disable each of your plugins then turn one at a time to see which one is causing this.

    If you cannot log into the Admin CP then to disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

    define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

    This will disable all hooks and allow you to log in properly with no hooks running.

      I'm able to login so just go down my Product list disabling them until I see the upload fixed?

        I went through and disabled every product I have installed and checked the upload each time. None of them fixed the error. Please someone help!

          You cannot get that error with the default vB code.

          To troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version and that none show 'File does not contain expected contents':

          Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

          [Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.]

          Next, disable all plugins.

          Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

          define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

          Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem?

            Thanks. I will have to wait until later tonight to do this as it sounds like it could disable my site while I'm trouble shooting?

              I figured out that the Watermarking plugin was causing the error. I've deactived just that for now and it is working fine. Thanks.
