    This basically means that MySQL stopped responding and closed the connection before returning information to PHP. The only way to fix this is to increase the wait_timeout variable in your My.CNF file. This should be at least 120 seconds but could need to be more depending on your server setup. The default is 38440 seconds when MySQL ships though. If you don't have access to the my.cnf file, you will need to contact your host to make these changes. If the issue still occurs, then your host should have logs available to help troubleshoot this.

      Where would I find this file? Also what do you want me to use, the 38,440 seconds or the 120 seconds?

        That depends on the server.

              wait_time = 120

              Is the minimum that you should put.

                It didnt say where the actual file is usually located at, also if 120 is the minimum, for my situation should I increase it or put it at 120? Sorry I am a newb with MSQL and Servers.

                  As per post #3 we have no way of knowing where this file is on your server. You will have to search for it.

                    They told me this was not possible because its on shared hosting and not dedicated, and I can not fork out an extra $200. Also would it help if I upgraded from 3.7.2 to 3.7.3 I didnt because I figured I would just wait until 4.0.0 was released. If not what else should I do, thanks for all the help.

                      This is still a server issue. There is no way for you to get around that fact if your host refuses to cooperate.
