GD image verfication not working. Used to work in 3.5.3

    Hi,

I was running vBulletin 3.5.3 till 15th AUg 2008. I upgraded to the latest vBulletin 3.7.2 Patch Level 1

I dont have ImageMagick on my server and hence I was using the GD library. In the older version GD worked. Now it does not work. It just renders a background in color.

I have attached a screen shot of the Admin Control Panel and the User Registration Page.

For now I have enabled the Question and Answer verification so that users can register. My forum is located at http://www.echarcha.com/

    Please help.

You can see an error when you try to view the image.php file directly:

    /usr/bin/convert: Unrecognized option (-annotate).

That is a GD error that you need to contact your web host about. They may need to reinstall the GD libraries in PHP.

Also, Wayne's post in this thread explains why the text isn't showing up in the image:

      Thank you Jake.

I contacted my web host and pointed them to this thread.

Now they have offered to install the latest PHP version 5.

I wanted to get a confirmed response if vBulletin 3.7.x runs on PHP5?

I mean will I have to make any changes or install some other files?

Your GD is missing TrueType 2.0 support

You're image magick is not fully installed or out of date.

Thank you so much. I have informed my web host company tech support folks about this.
