Easy Way To Disallow News Users Access to Send PM"S?

I want to disallow new users up to say 10 post to send private messages, so they can't spam our users..

Is there an easy way to do this with the latest VB?

You can create a Usergroup Promotions system.

Create a new group and name it something like Full Registered users.
Disallow the default Registered Usegroup to send PMs. Allow the Full Registered Users group to send PMs.

Then create a Promotion based on post count.

AdminCP -> Usegroups -> Promotions

You do not.
It should run at the next scheduled time, but you may want to run it manually right after you create it.

AdminCP -> Scheduled Tasks -> Scheduled Task Manager -> 'User Promotions' -> Run Now
