    Problem with album images permissions

Hi, I have a permission problem with album images in my forum.

    Let me explain:
Before upgrading to 3.7 I was using a images gallery, so when I made the upgrade, I *exported all images to the new images vbulletin system.

I exported all users images, then I set usergroups permissions. I have a "newbie" usergroup and they don't have permissions to create albums (but they have albums because I exported images from the gallery to their account when I upgraded), so here is the problem, when some user with viewing album permission try to acces those albums, they get a no permission error (they can't see albums).

I don't know if this is a bug or something like that, I mean, I think they would have permission to see albums because albums are public and users have viewing albums permissions set to "yes"

    * The problem is not the exportation method I used, because I "exported" the images using users accounts.

PS: my english is not so good, sorry. I hope you undestood what I wanted to say =P.

    Thanks.

If I understand you correctly, that is exactly what they should see:

I have a "newbie" usergroup and they don't have permissions to create albums (but they have albums because I exported images from the gallery to their account when I upgraded), so here is the problem, when some user with viewing album permission try to acces those albums, they get a no permission error (they can't see albums).

But I think that have no logic... I mean, if users have permissions to see albums, and the album is public, then why they can't see them?

If you give them the create permission, does it fix the issue?

Yes, that fix the problem, other users can see albums.

Is there a way to fix this? Is this really a vB bug?

              Thanks.

How exactly did you import the data?

I used this mod to log in into users accounts and then uploaded to their respective albums... nothing else

I tried this with one account "directly" without "importing" anything. I created a new user account, added one album, then changed that user to the usergroup with no permissions to create albums and I get error too, so is a not a problem with the method I used to "import" the images, is a vB problem.

I believe the two are tied together at the moment.
