turn off profile messages and delete them

i want to turn off that leave visitor message in peoples profiles and delete
all of the messages left for everyone..

its annoying as heck and people are abusing it constantly..

I came here looking for the same thing... Seems everyone assumes they are PM's and end up saying something they don't want to where everyone can see it.

nm, figured it out.

Instead of there being a simple "Turn on/off visitor messages" like most things, you have to go into each user group and disable all of the options for it. Once you do that, they won't appear anymore. Just do this for all usergroups you want to remove this from.

vb 3.8.2 has:

vBulletin Options => User Profile Options => Enabled User Profile Features

Uncheck "Enable Visitor Messaging"

This will turn it off for everyone as far as I can see.
