Thanks Glathannus, actually for some reason with the UTF-8 enabled via the config.php the issue seems O.K. now. I did some looking around my database and I saw what you are referring to, but to be honest I'm a little hesitant on doing anything like that. I noticed that my database is coded for latin1_swedish..so this should also be UTF-8? Please see attached images

You should not make changes to the characterset of your database tables unless you know what you are doing. Simply changing it can cause more problems then it will solve.Want to take your board beyond the standard vBulletin features?

The problem I'm having is with advertisements that should appear on "forumdisplay" pages.
After the upgrade to 5.1.7, the advertisements were not appearing....-
