How can I set up a forum to create an RSS feed of itself like VBulletin.org does?

Yay . Now three quick question.
1.) Will this help with SEO?
2.) How can I get the RSS icon next to all my forums?
3.) How come if I have it set up so that guests do not have permissions to view certain forums, no one can see the RSS? I can not either. It's just a blank page.
