    config file

    Hi when upgrading from 3.6.10 to 3.7 do i need to edit the config file and overwrite the old one please

    Yeah cause the config file in some older previous version's is different -- Just rename config.php.new to config.php and then open up in a text editor and change the required settings. Then run the upgrade.php - Hope this helps -

      No, your old config file will work fine. There are some new options in the 3.7 one, but they only apply if you want to use xCache or APC for your datastore... and if you want to use these you can edit your current config.php

        thanks for your replys i have messed up my forum upgrading form 3.6.10 to 3.7 and i thought that might have been the reason

          You do not need to edit the new config file on upgrades unless informed to do so by the upgrade tool.
