    Anyone know where to look?

(It's not in ACP > Post Icons)

That's a bummer! I thought they were going to be custom post icons per forum

Can we use images for thread prefixes?

You can for the rich text version, just put the <img> html right in there and point it to one of your post icons.

Now, I am confused. Is there a way to use this 'prefix for Forum Status Images' function to add the custom icons per forum Kier talked about in the announcement?

I believe that's already possible you just have to create a different folder on the server for each forum and put it's custom forum icon in there. (For every forum you want to have a custom icon). For me, and many of us, that means a bunch of folders! LOL

Or have them all in one folder and name them all differently like this:

              1forum_link.gif
              1forum_new.gif
              1forum_new_lock.gif
              1forum_old.gif
              1forum_old_lock.gif

              2forum_link.gif
              2forum_new.gif
              2forum_new_lock.gif
              2forum_old.gif
              2forum_old_lock.gif

Im' having a lot of trouble with this. It seems that it doesn't work at all. I've already done the above. Is it correct that if i put the prefix "h3" and have the files in statusicon names "h3forum_new.gif", would that be correct?

It wasn't mentioned you also have to goto:

ACP -> Forum Manager -> Edit Forum -> Prefix for Forum Status Images

put the prefix for the image you want.

Edit: I haven't tested it but I believe you will also have to make sure you place the same icon in all your style/statusicon folders or you may have broken images.

Here are some example's on how it works.

Simply create your prefix. Try to be consistent.

Then name your status icons like below. Make sure the prefix has the / for folders.

Isn't it just possible to have different folders, and have the folder name as prefix???

                              1. ACP>Thread Prefix>Create new. I created "custom1_"
                              2. I created a "custom1_" directory at forum root. I created all of the forum icons exactly as you point out in the "custom1_forum_link.gif and so on and so on
                              3. ACP>Forum Manager>Forum Edit>added my prefix /custom1_

Saved and checked my forum. Nothing changes
