New Posts button not working with Internet Explorer 9 in 3.6.7

I've had this problem for awhile on an older board running 3.6.7. When members who are running IE9 click the "New Posts" button they get a response that there aren't any new posts since their last visit when there are definitely posts that should be displayed. The site works great with FF, Safari and Chrome. I tried using search but didn't find anyone talking about this problem. Seems weird since there are so many older VB boards still running out there. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Jiffy, what site is having the problem? Are you sending any expire headers on html content?
slehmann, your site is sending 1 year expires headers on all html content, this is causing the problem.

          The site is http://www.tlplanet.com/forums

It's worked great for years and then out of the blue members who upgraded to the newest version of IE couldn't use the new posts link which is very frustrating to many. How do I check for the expired headers you mentioned? Upgrading isn't an option unfortunately.

Ask them to try running IE9 in compatablity mode on their site.

What does this mean? I have issues with a few users saying IE9 is not working right for my site. They are getting program not responding errors. They also have to write posts over 2 or 3 times before they take?????
