    Upgrade 3.6.7 PL1 to 3.8.1

I have searched as I'm sure this topic is already covered, but am unable to find a thread.

I currently run 3.6.7 PL1 for my forum, due to lazyness and other projects, I have yet to update my code. I see 3.8.1 is now available.

Can I jump from 3.6.7 PL1 to 3.8.1 or do I need to upgrade in steps?

Sorry if this topic is beat.

    Thank you!

You can upgrade straight to 3.8.1. The upgrade script will go through the necessary steps to make sure the forum has all that's needed to complete the process.

Thank you for the quick reply.

I am reviewing the Upgrade documentation at http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/

I will have my data backed up before this process, will the update maintain any VB hacks or templates I have installed currently or will I need to re-install them?

All hacks and mods will be retained.

There will be quite a few template edits for you to do though. There has been a lot of new code implimented since your current version so the affected templates will need to reverted or you will need to edit in the missing code before the forum/functions will work properly.

Sounds like it will be worth while to pay to have this done.

          I appreciate the info
