Rebuild fulltext search index

What are the exact commands you need to execute to rebuild the fulltext index successfully after reducing the minimum characters permitted for search on a vB database?

Is it just these commands:
REPAIR TABLE post QUICK;
REPAIR TABLE thread QUICK;

To make sure it's done right, the easiest way would be to switch to the vB search type, then back again to fulltext.
