header lining up with forum

Right now I have Main Table Width at 81% to line up with my 22" monitor. When I pull up my forum on my 17" it looks awful. Is their a way to get the forum to line up centered automatically on every resolution?

Have a background image that's matching the forum width in %
And on top of it add the logo in a smaller size as an image.

This gives the impression that regardless of size the logo is nice in the center, while the background adapts.
