Hi,
I've just moved my board over to a new server and now have mysqli support, which I'd like to take advantage of.
I have VBAdvanced CMPS installed just as a "wrapper", mostly to give access to user data and such like. I basically just use it as a blank canvas for my own PHP pages (you can probably get a better idea by looking at it here - http://www.eastfootball.co.uk).
My problem is this - I have a few custom queries running on the site (such as to pick out news items, or the "Predictor Top 10"). With mysqli, I need the link to the database to pass as a parameter:
So can I access this link? Or would I be better just creating the pages entirely from scratch, using the user's cookie to get what's needed for my scripts to work?
Cheers.
