How to delete a post

Folks, this is a newbie question. How can I, as the admin, delete a post within a thread? I've already removed that member (who is a vicious advertiser trying to sell illegal stuff) but how can I remove the stuff he had written...

You can hit the Edit button on the post and then click on Delete. You have the option to Soft Delete (it is still in the database but not visible to anyone) or Hard Delete (that deletes it from the database).
