    Make sure GZIP is enabled:

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Cookies and HTTP Header Options -> GZIP HTML Output

Graphical layouts can also increase bandwidth usage.

I check it out and that is enabled.
Maybe is something about guests viewing attachments?
For example, when I check who is online, always can find some
guests watching some attachments. Strange thing is because that
activity has no link to see what post guest is looking.

By default settings in Usergroup for Unregistered / Not Logged In (Guest), it has this disable: Forum Viewing Permissions > Can Download Attachments [No]

It can depend what your site has or how many guest visit your site.

There should be a image next to the guest's location because they do not have permission to view attachments. They will still be shown as viewing it, but they don't have access.

              Hi

If I was to disable the zip function would my forums gain a little speed?

GZIP makes your forum pages load faster because they are smaller. It is recommended that you leave it enabled and use level 1 compression.

                    Crawlers should be included.

GZIP is the best way to reduce bandwidth usage. There aren't any other easy ways to reduce bandwidth unless you start removing some page content like large images.

All my large image are hosted at imageshuck.us or other file hosting site.
                      Is that affecting my bandwith?

Sorry for adding another question to this thread but in the online help for this setting it says this: " If you are already using mod_gzip or mod_deflate on your server, do not enable this option."

How can I tell if these "mods" are enabled on a shared server and what will happen if they are and "GZIP HTML Output" is enabled anyway?

You can look on your PHPInfo under Maintenance -> View PHP Info. Later versions of PHP will list the Apache modules installed. If they are not listed, then you will need to contact your hosting provider and ask them.

You're pages will be double compressed and some browsers cannot interpret this. If this happens the pages will display as gibberish.

Is it possible to move it all avatars and signature pics from my server (at ones) to some free host? I think that they cause my big bandwidth.

This requires modifying the code, (i.e., 'hacks' or with plugins.) We can't offer official support for code modifications or for forums running modified code. But we do have a customization site and forums, however, with people that may be willing to help you with this.

Please visit http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/ and ask for help there in the appropriate forum. You will need to register on those forums and enter your forum email address on this form in order to get access:
