    While I`m awaiting a reply from my host, I posting here to see if anyone knows why I`m getting database error.

    My site; www.techsupportteam.org

    This happened around an hour ago out of no where.

    I went into phpMYADMIN and I can still see all posts ect. so nothings lost.

    I view the page source from my site and I saw this error message;

    Code:
    <!--

    /home/theco55/public_html/forum/includes/class_core.php on line 278

    MySQL error: Access denied for user

    Sticky on this troubleshooting forum.

    You should contact your host to verify the correct MySQL info in your includes/config.php file, if your information you added is correct.

      Thanks for that, turned out I didn't update my password in the config.php when I changed it haha.

        Oddly I can not get my password to change, though I can change it through Cpanel on host side, but it does not transulate over to my .htpasswds. I know I have to enter any change password to get within my Cpanel, but I have not needed to added to my config.php file. That is what troubles me right now, but I will let my host figure that out.

          Well I changed my password via cPanel a few days back, and the forum carried on working. Then it just stopped today, and gave me the database error screen. So I viewed the source and new it couldn't connect with my database but wasn't 100% sure, that's why I asked here. I immediately searched for my password, changed it too the new one and my forum was back up.

          Regards Jason
