    Max Signature Length

    Under User Profile Options, I do not see an option for turning signatures on and off. Additonally, although there appears to be a 1000 character limit for signatures (as one user has reported), I cannot seem to configure this to be any larger or smaller, as the option to configure it does not appear.

    The only signature-related setting I appear to have is
    "Signature Soft-Linebreak Character Limit" which is set to 90

    http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=101587 does not seem to be true. I do not have any Maximum Signature Length field.

    I am using 3.6.8 PL2, recently upgraded from a 2-series forum.

    <Moved to correct forum>

    To troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version and that none show 'File does not contain expected contents':

    Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

    [Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.]

    Next, disable all plugins.

    Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

    define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

    Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problems?

      I found an option under individual user groups, but they were NOT in the main vBulletin options as indicated on these forums. I noticed there was a warning in my control panel home that enabling or disabling signatures was no longer present as of 3.6.0 in the general options, but was instead under the usergroups. But the announcement/warning didn't say anything about sig lengths, etc.

      Suspect file versions:
      robots.txtFile not recognized as part of vBulletin
      ./includes
      class_core.phpFile does not contain expected contents <---changed the SQL timeout
      datastore_cache.phpFile not recognized as part of vBulletin
      ./install
      upgrade_360b1.phpFile does not contain expected contents <---for deleting postparsed if it exists
      No plugins installed. Only non-default styles are with colors and adding a level 3 for forum levels.
