The similar thread rebuild runs a search for each thread. Unfortunately this will take a while.

I don't have reference values, but depending on the server speed, that is possible.

Is there a way to continue from the thread it stopped? Or do i have to start all over again?

Enable the full text search option in the vBulletin settings and it will run much faster
            /forum/admincp/options.php?do=searchtype

I changed this newly and now it runs in seconds instead of days.
