    Subscription link at sign up

    Hi There,

After i click on the confirmation link via e-mail to complete the registration process i get taken to page where i have a subscription link, but i dont have any subscription links that are active.

Is there anyway to remove the subscription link so that when a user confirms their e-mail address they then just get taken to the forum instead.

    Any help would be great.

    Ally

The default behavior is to take new users to the forumhome page, not the subscription page. I have heard of hacks that redirect people to the subscription page... maybe you have installed one of those hacks?

There could be a hack in there, but not that i am aware off.

how do you set it back to its default so that subscription page link doesnt appear after they click on the confirmation e-mail?

I just want them to confirm and then jump straight to the forum.

Replace .php files with the original vbulletin files.

I do have a way but I dont know if it will work.

goto admin cp --> Languages & Phrases - search in phrases

Then search for the link that your users are sent in the confirmation mail. And when you find it you can replace it with the original vbulletin page link which I think admins here should know.

                      Hi ,

Didnt work, i think the code that you have there is just the same code that i have.

If i can even change the text on the re-direct page that would be good, but i cant even find that to change.

What is the URL to your forum? I want to try registering to see exactly how / where users are being redirected. That will help to determine where the modification is.

                          It's all ok now.

I have changed the text on the re-direct link, now it just says thank you for signing up and just to click on the forum link to start posting.

                          So all good.

Many thanks for all your help.
