How I can do a forum home page ?

I want to do a seprate home page like vbulletin.com and my forum is located on my site :http://www.maxiseo.com/forums so I need to setup :
http://www.maxiseo.com/index.php like vbulletin.com/index.php without using vbadvanced !! How can I do that please ??

No I want to put a home page talking about site with links and a link for the forum not the hole forum in my root page !
