    Integrated YouTube Videos in Posts

My members are asking after being able to integrate YouTube videos directly into posts.

First of all, is this even possible? Secondly how the loading work? Does it cripple dial-up users because it loads the video automatically on viewing that particular thread page?

It is not a feature of the standard vbulletin software. Though, there are addons available on vbulletin.org for something like this. It generally simply embeds youtube's (or any other supported video provider) media player and plays off their server, so its not "your bandwidth" that is being used. I think youtube are actually okay with dialup users because it doesn't start to load until someone hits start (or autoplay is enabled), but I don't know for sure about the internals and you will need to work out the details with the addon's developer or youtube themselves.

Please note that we cannot provide support for custom coding and addon, and if you encounter a problem with your forum, we will ask you to disable them first before we can provide assistance as addons may interfere with vBulletin's standard procedures.
    Best Regards,
