On my old phpbb forums, when a new post was made it would stay highlighted that it was a new post for a good few days. With these new forums, that is not the case. When a new post is made, within an hour the post it just like every other post.
I want my users to be able to log into the forums and see what posts are new easily. Right now, unless you log in within an hour of the post being made you will be unable to easily tell which threads have new posts in them.
Is there some way to up the timer of keeping a post that has been there for a few days show up as "New"? Unless of course the user clicks on the thread and sees the post, then of course make it an old post.
Also, even when forum sections do alert that a new post has been made, if you click the forum section the new posts are no longer bold or any indication new posts were made. Its very important that all new posts are alerted to users to read.
Does this make sense at all? I'm trying to explain it the best I can.
