Very slow forum, latency problems, etc

I've had my forum up now for several months and it's consistently very slow. I've tried tweaking forum settings which affect database performance, I've optimized tables, etc. Nothing seems to effect the slow loading one way or the other. I addressed the issue with my host (which is very helpful btw) and they made a few tweaks. It didn't seem to affect the slow loading at all but I do get extremely fast download speeds from other (non php based)parts of my site. I'm talking 300-600k/sec downloads. So, I'm dumbfounded at this point. Obviously the bandwidth is there but my forum doesn't care.

First, could you guys see if it loads slowly for you

    Second, any ideas? Thanks

Loads fairly quickly for me. What are your server loads like? Sounds like an overloaded server with either PHP or MySQL causing the brunt of the resource issues.

Is there a way to check server loads if you don't have root access?

You should be able to see them with any SSH user on a Linux/Unix Machine.

I figured that. I don't have SSH/Telnet or root access. Is there a way to record the load stats outside of those options? The forum has less than 100 active members.

I take it that you are on a shared server? If so there is very little we can do about performance issues since you are sharing the machine with several hundred other websites.
You can try this thread: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=224462

other than that, there isn't much that can be done for a shared hosting environment.

Just a quick note, but your link doesn't seem to load for me at all. Almost immediately I receive a "Problem loading page" from FireFox.
