Check his moderator permissions, perhaps it's set to always get the email.

Check the each forum and see if his email address is in either or both of the folowing options:

AdminCP -> Forums & Moderators -> Forum Manager -> Edit Forum -> Moderation Options -> Email Addresses to Notify When there is a New Post & Email Addresses to Notify When there is a New Thread

Check your forums under the forum manager and make sure you didn't enter his email address in the notification fields there.

Admin CP -> Forums & Moderators -> Forum Manager.

Did you check his moderator permissions?

Forums & Moderators -> Show All Moderators -> Click "Edit Permissions" next to his name.

                  hey just checked that.
in all supermod[total3 in my forum] there was "yes" in option receive email when new thread created.

                  was that by default?
can i set it to no for all?

You can edit them to no and the default is no.

i edited ALL 3 seperately but i havent made them yes in past also
                      so default may be yes
                      where to check default status?

Create fresh install. I checked on one just before posting it and it defaults to NO.
