Attachments - DB or FS ?

Hi,

My site currently has over 10 000 attachments contained within posts. I am using the filesystem option to store the attachments however I want to know if I would get better performance from storing the attachments using the DB rather than a single attachment directory.

Can someone tell me if there is any advantage by using one system over the other please.

Performance-wise I doubt you'll see much difference. I'd stay with the attachments stored in the file system.
