vB login integration with Active Directory

Is it possible to integrate vB with Active Directory?

I have a Sharepoint client who has reviewed vB and would like to roll it out as the main information point for presenting announcements to their employee base. Being that they are a medical center and under HIPAA regulations, they will need to lock this into their intranet.

The concern is that if people have to log in twice (once to the intranet and once into the message baord) they will be reluctant to use vB and as we all know, getting users interactive is the life blood of a successful interchange in a community.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

There is no function to do that at this time. This requires modifying the code. We cannot officially support code modifications or forums running modified code, however you can try searching or asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org.

      Steve,
I hate to beat a dead horse, but it seems to me that this option, or benefit would open up a completely new market for vB sales and even a greater price structure for the software use.

Is there any particular reason why vB has not looked at this option? Are they looking at the option in a future release? Even considered?

We have looked at it and it may be included in a future release. At this time the architecture does not support it directly.
