    Php 5.0.5

In preparation for the installation of a wiki onto my forums I just upgraded the PHP to 5.0.5 from 4.4.7

After the Apache upgrade clicking on any of the forums or posts generated a pop up box saying "You have chosen to open filename.php which is a PHP file, and then asked me what to do with the file.

I had to roll back the PHP to 4.4.7 to resolve the problem... but as MediaWiki needs php 5.0 or higher that will not now run

How can I fix the problem?

That error means that PHP isn't configured correctly or the web server is not using it. This is a host issue, you will get that error with any .php file then. Not a vBulletin issue. vB is compatible with php5.

Though this error has nothing to do with the following:

I would recommend against using PHP 5.0.5. It has a number of errors that interfere with vBulletin Operations and is out of date. If you are going to use the PHP 5 series, you should upgrade to the latest for the most bug fixes.
