How do I prevent the ability of forum users to delete messages in a thread? I've looked in the Options and can't find this anywhere.

This is a usergroup permissions Can Delete Own Posts. This can either be set globally via the usergroup manager or on a per forum basis via forum permissions. -
You can also specify a time limit for editing of the post and a time limit for deleting a post, I believe these settings are found in the usergroups settingsComment
