Paid Subscription Problems

I have just implemented a "Paid Subscription" to my discussion forums. The deal is you pay a certain amount of money per year and receive a "Premium" user account with several more features than you would get as a registered user. The problem that we are having is, once the payment goes through via Paypal, it's not adding the user to the "Premium" user group that includes all of the features. In my transaction history it says that the payment was a failure, however, I have received the funds in my Paypal account.

What is going on?

EDIT: I did some looking around and I have resolved the problem. Anyone that this happens too, make sure that your email address in the payment API is your PRIMARY paypal address.
