vbulletin database error!

    vbulletin database error!

    I keep getting sent error emails stating the following...

    Database error in vBulletin :

    mysql_connect() [<a href='function.mysql-connect'>function.mysql-connect</a>]: Unknown MySQL Server Host 'db829.oneandone.co.uk' (2)

    I can't work out how to fix this so can anyone give me some help??

    Your webhosts mysql is down, you should contact them and ask them why.

      You server cannot find that MySQL server or it doesn't exist. You will need to contact your host about this.

        Specifically, that error means the server failed in it's attempt to do a dns look up on db829.oneandone.co.uk. - and if you try it manually then it turns out to be an alias of db829.puretec.de. and that in turn fails to look up - you need to speak to 1&1 support.
