...Allow members to delete their posts only during their edit window?

We give members a 20-minute time window to edit posts.

Can we allow them to delete their posts ONLY during this time window?

It looks like the "delete posts" option in the usergroup settings is open ended.

Does the delete option not only appear when you go in to Edit?

If not and the setting is open-ended in ACP, you could always put a conditional statement round the 'Delete' option? Don't ask me to give you it in a hurry though...

Just click on the 'Help' question mark (?) button, as it will till you that the setting you place on editing will affect deletion options.

This permission allows members of this group to delete their own posts. This group must have post editing permissions (see previous permission) if they are to delete a post.

Be careful with allowing post deletion. If you allow users to edit their posts indefinitely (see "Time Limit on Editing of Posts" setting here) as well as allow them to delete their posts, then they can go back into your forum history and delete all of their posts if they want. Note: Users can only soft-delete their own post. As staff you can undelete them again at any time.

Do you mean does it "not appear" in Edit?

Well, since we currently have "Can Delete Own Posts" set to off, they would not see this option.
And before anyone states the obvious, the usergroup help text is somewhat ambiguous.

Your members can delete post only during preset time on editing. If set to 0(zero), then it is unlimited time and if you allow 20 minutes; that is what they get.

I just manually tested all the config variations and can confirm what you say.
