Can you exclude certain forums from the "New Posts"

I have implemented a Job board utilizing the rss feed manager but I am getting complaints that all the jobs are showing up in the "new Posts" section. Is it possible to exclude a forum from this page?

    Thanks,

Isn't that old 2000 method outdated? Now you just add &exclude='forumid'.

Not sure where you get "old 2000 method" since that was posted in 2006.

That is still how you do it. Edit the navbar, add &exclude=.

Does not work for me. Strange. I tried to exclude one forum but the posts still show as new.

As said in the other thread, you need to exlude all forums that you dont want to show, not just a top level forum.

Well, this is not a top-forum, it's the sub-forum that I have specified in the template... i.e: 278.

That's why I don't understand why it does not work.

Do you mean that I have to put in the exclusions both top level and sub-forums to make it work?

What is the exact line of code that you have edited?

                    Here:

                    PHP Code:
                    <td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="search.php?$session[sessionurl]do=getnew&exclude=278" accesskey="2">$vbphrase[new_posts_nav]</a></td
at two different places like described here: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=172811

The code is correct. Make sure that you have edited the same style as the one that you are viewing your site with.
