Similar Threads - enabling question

We had "Similar Threads" turned off for a long time (due to some server load issues).

We turned it back on and it is working for new threads, but older threads don't display this table.

Is there a way to have older threads gain this feature?
Is it a cpu-intensive action?

You need to rebuild the similiar threads on each thread. There is a rebuild counter in the admincp in the maintainence section but it will be decently cpu intensive. A search must be run to find a few similiar threads for every thread on your forum.
