How do I get rid of the word raquo on my homepage, and is it safe to do so?

I remember seeing the term "raquo" in the admincp panel a few times, and when I did a keyword density check on my homepage this work popped up a bunch of times.

Where do I need to go to get rid of it, why is it there, and is it safe/ok to remove it?


I noticed when I went to Admincp-->vBa CMPS-->edit pages-->homepages

the term "»" is listed under the Module Title Bullet field, which says "
Here you may enter any HTML code which you would like to appear next to the title of each block.

So you can remove them if you want but they do have a use

Would you mind extrapolating on the use? I don't want them to detract from the focus of the keywords I want to be accentuated on my homepage.
