what files are changed on the file system?

Just figuring out how to setup my backup system for the filesystem.. What files other than:
-avartars
-signiture pics
-attachments

get changed on the file system from day to day running of the forums, or do things stay pretty static and all the changes are via the db?

CSS stored in files if you use that option.
