    Transfer database

    Dear reader,

In the past few months we decided to set up a forum for our online gaming network. We didn't do this the correct way. We downloaded several (NULLED!) forum softwares, including vbulletin.

We have made a lot of progress since then, and we decided to keep vBulletin, and of course i bought it a few days ago.

I got 3.6.4 (nulled) installed right now, and i want to know how to install the 'LEGAL' vbulletin and use the CURRENT database. We installed a lot of extra's (plugins / hacks) and i'm aware we might need to reinstall them again. We have a userbase of 6k+ users and about 35k posts, i don't want to loose that all.

I already tried a legal installation of vbulletin and restore the tables of posts, users, threads etc, but that simply didn't work.

    Any suggestions, or any idea's?

    TFN

p.s. I know that i'm WRONG about using illegal nulled versions, but it was for pure evaluation purposes. We bought it because we liked it.

Thank you for the answer, but I would like a staff member to answer my question. Just to be sure.

It's okay, I've done it already but now I have a few problems, I contacted vBulletin.

            Thank you.

I dont know if im suppose to talk about this hear but nulled versions tends to modified by the person who nulled it, may it be plugins etc and can cause conflicts with an over write.
Simplest is the file overwrite mentioned here. The other option is to install in a new directory and use impex to bring the old forum to the other.
