very strange then..
I go to admincp > styles & templates > Download/Upload Styles > Import Style XML File and select the default .xml location on the server but change its "Title for upload style" and it acts like its uploading, but then doesn't show it once complete. I also tried uploading the default style from my desktop after renaming it.. same thing. I'm just trying to get a second.. renamed default .xml up to play around with. Any ideas?Comment

That's because it's the master style and template set. What exactly are you trying to do?Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)

Create a new style and choose no parent style. That will be identical to the original style.Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)

arg... hrm.. is import different than upload? Something is not working right here. It processes the file and then brings me to "rebuild stlye information" page which shows the same two styles I already had. It doesnt seem to matter if it's a file uploaded from my desktop or the server.. same thing.Comment

Thats becuase its a "master" template, just add a new style like steve said and you will get the original vBulletin style back.Comment
