Default RSS Feed?

Is there some default RSS feed for recent posts? something like: www.forum.com/feed ?

I just want to add an RSS icon to my footer, so site users can subsribe to recent posts...

Yes, it is your_forums_url/external.php?type=rss

but...that doesn't turn up anything for me. do i have to enable it in the admin or something?

Yes, make sure that you have set the following option to YES

vBulletin Options > External Data Provider > Enable RSS Syndication

Also, the feed will only show content which is accessible to guests, so if guests do not have permission to view part of your site, then these forums will not be included in the feed.

also...everything in the feed looks about 1 day old? how do i make the feed current/live?
