How do I find a good host for my board???

OK, we are with 1and1, not my choice, but we did not know any better, in less than a month we have OVER filled the 100 Mb database limit, to 150 Mb, they have locked our database, so we are now looking to move to a host without these silly 100 Mb database limits.

How can I find a list of hosts that are good places to have a vBulletin board?

We would like to keep costs down, I think we have just over 300 members now, and have about 10,000 posts a month, lots of images. This is a member supported woodworking website (which is down at the moment, due to a locked database).

Suggestions or a list of some sort of hosts that will give us good support and service would be much appreciated.

We are not looking for a $4.95 a month site, but we are also not looking to rent a dedicated server either.

I'd think there must be something in-between that should do the job.

    Cheers!

I've had a good experience with HostGator. Fast support, good prices.

I've been on Hostgator for close to a year, and I'm very happy with them.

Don't confuse a clear view with a short distance.

              Check out www.WebSupreme.com

I have used them for over 10 years for my other websites.

They will not give you more database space.

Go ahead and move to another server.

                    RealWeb

I have had alot of problems in the past wth the old host I was with dot5host. I posted this on this board, then Joey ( express ) on this site started posting messages to me on what I should be looking for. I found out he worked for a host, www.realwebhost.com I moved over there and have never been happier, excellent service, no downtime, great support. Joey helped me right through the whole process, I found out he was the president after, what personable service. The site never lags or anything, Im in shared hosting right now, eventually I will move to a dedicated when I start getting more traffic. Check out there site, remember dont go cheap, you get what you pay for..

I am now switching over to a Dedicated Server with Joey at Real Web Host and they are helping and making the transition very easy.
