All language is in Phrases. Do a 'Search in Phrases' for the specific language you are looking for, then edit the appropriate Phrase.

Admin CP -> Languages & Phrases -> Search in Phrases

Note: To edit a phrase, place the new phrase in the available language text boxes.

So Steve, how do you change the phrase to ask for their "real name" at registration? I looked at your answer, and it didn't answer the original question.
Thank you so much. I'm a newbee...

My search found this phrase: to_post_must_first_register

Edit that phrase to say what you want.
