how can i solve this? i must reindex my forum with searchshell.php...
Okay, I figured out the bug - after getting the rough end of the pineapple (ahem).

Here's how I replicate the behavior:
      1. login to admincp
      2. turn Your vBulletin Off
      3. then run searchshell
To remedy the behavior, turn the forum back on.

What I did was wrote up an .htaccess file to redirect people to a temporary directory so I could effectively hav everyone off the forum while I ran the searchshell.
