User Rank Update Times

<P>&lt;P&gt;Just something I've been wondering. How come when I manually assign a user to an additional usergroup that has a rank associated with it, the rank image appears immediately. But when a user joins a public group, that rank associated with the public group doesn't appear for quite a while?&lt;/P&gt;</P>

Admin CP -> User Ranks -> User Rank Manager -> [Edit] -> Display Type

Is this set to Always or If Displaygroup = This Group? The former will always display the rank. The later requires that the user choose to identify with that group in their:

User CP -> Group Memberships

That might explain the problem.

The public groups ranks were set to always. I'll give Displaygroup a try.

Still doesn't show the rank immediately like when I add someone manually to a group?

Any other ideas?

EDIT... When set to Displaygroup, even if I manually update the counter the rank image will not appear for public groups. Not only that, it took away all my other ranks for public groups when I set them as well to displaygroup. So, I set it back to alwasy. Seems to work but take forever to update.
