    Language question

What I'd like to know is: if instead of using an Arabic and Turkish language pack I just create forums in which people are free to write in Arabic and Turkish, would that cause any problems with characters? I mean would people who speak Arabic or Turkish be able to write Arabic or Turkish and also read it properly? I'm not sure how all that works.. So, is the language pack in fact only a translation of the vBulletin script?

p.s. I understand that doing it the way I said won't work for non-english speakers because they wouldn't even understand how to register.

Yes, a language is only a translation of the vBulletin phrases.

What you'll want to do is make sure you're using the UTF-8 character set for your database though.

Visitors to your site would have to understand all of the error messages, statements, tips, and buttons all being in English if you choose not to install a language pack.

Please open a new thread for your own problem next time.

You can change your own language in the UserCP.
