Ajax quick editor and quick reply not working ..

Hi ,

When I try to add text or anything via the quick reply ,the box keep loading ,but that stays to the infinity ..Same thing for ajax quick edit .

Now this problem doesn't include every single Ajax item ,for now it seems only happens for text forms .this problem has been a while since 3.5 with ..and yes it was working fine before ..

And this is a list of what I have done trying to fix it ..

• disable plug ins (via ACP & via the code provided in some other threads)
• revert templates.
• revert any file modification .
• also tried to work it out with CHMOD the files .
• trying different browsers .
• maybe some other stuff that I don't remember now .

I hope to get a reply for that ... I had this problem for a wile now ..

Yes Arabic ..
charset is windows-1256

You or your host will most likely need to install iconv on the server for some of the AJAX functions to work. Alternately you can disable the problematic AJAX functions in your
AdminCP -> vBulletin Options -> General Settings

OK ,sounds nice ,but, I this features used to be working before and it was not that from the beginning with 3.5.

The other thing is ,I can't install the iconv since I'm on shared hosting (That's how they justified their refusal) .

So ,I was really hoping to work out the problem and return it the way it was .

Previous versions didn't use AJAX. If you disable the problematic AJAX functions it'll work as it did in previous versions.

Same problem here.. before a week everything was ok but now the quick reply and quick edit not working....
