Need help, not receiving emails from database about errors, forum completely down

Hello, I am trying to determine how to explain what is wrong. I have recently been getting these database errors, a few at a time, then all of a sudden, nobody could access the forum, and the site was completely down. I was receiving 1000's of these each day. (Been completely down for 2-3 days now). After looking at other threads, I told my host it is their problem and forwarded them the link. The thing is, they refuse to believe me, saying other forums (using phpBB software) are working, so it can't be their fault.

The main question....now when I go to the my forum it merely states:
There seems to have been a problem with the Military Issued Girlfriends Forums database.
Please try again by clicking the Refresh button in your web browser.
An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, whom you can also contact if the problem persists.
    We apologise for any inconvenience
But I am receiving no emails anymore about these errors. What can be the cause of this?

For reference, these were the emails of database errors that I was receiving the past two days.

Those are both server issues. If your forums are working now then it was just a temporary server issue.

NO, they still are not working. I have purchased hosting at a new company and am now just waiting for my old host to release the domain so I can transfer.

Thanks for the reassurance. The forum is still down.

The error is hosting related, not vBulletin. vBulletin is just reporting the MySQL server can't connect or has quit the connection.

Either your config.php settings point to the old host mysql server/database or the new one. And the one it points to has issues.
